The annual Santa Parade at The Centre MK was a highlight of the festive season, and MKCTV had the opportunity to speak with Kim Priest from CMK Shopping Centre management for some insights.
The air was filled with the excitement of Christmas as anticipation mounted. At 5:30 pm, the Santa parade kicked off outside the M&S store. Crowds eagerly gathered to welcome Santa and his merry band of elves as they led Cinderella in his sleigh down Silbury Arcade, culminating in a grand entrance at this year's Snowman-themed Grotto in the beautifully adorned Middleton Hall.
The parade was a delight for all, with pantomime actors and participating charities enjoying the festivities alongside the audience, which comprised both adults and children. Stilt walkers and a magician added to the enchantment, while Christmas carols filled the air and spontaneous dancing broke out along the route through the shopping center.
The pinnacle of the event arrived as Santa himself made his grand entrance, waving warmly to the gathered crowds as he made his way into his grotto.
This year promises to be just as spectacular, if not more so, than the last
