Sharon Shachar and her colleagues have come together to shake things up, together they have started The Coffee Hall Community Events Group in June 2023 as they are passionate and confident that they can make a difference to their deprived estate in Coffee Hall. The Coffee Hall Community Events Group hosted a Family Halloween Disco at the Coffee Hall Community Centre, and MKC TV attended to cover the festivities. Upon arrival, it was surprising to discover that much of the decor, which looked professional, was actually handcrafted by residents of Coffee Hall. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the entire venue was transformed to an impressive standard. Attendees were thoroughly enjoying themselves, revelling in an event that was a rare occurrence in the Coffee Hall area. The DJ generously volunteered his time, spinning a mix of fantastic tunes that had everyone on their feet. Witnessing how the community managed to pull off such a spectacular event with limited resources was truly inspiring. To top of the night, there was a raffle with donated prizes. As they are a non-profit individual group, they have very little to no funding and are asking for generous donations.
