Milton Keynes City TV held a red carpet launch reception at the Gunaydin restaurant in Kingston, Milton Keynes on the 1st June, 2023. The TV station’s CEO Simon Ram stated ‘we have been planning to launch a TV station in Milton Keynes for some time. Now the ‘City’ status has been awarded and following the visit a month ago by His Majesty King Charles III, we felt the timing to be exactly right to announce our launch’. The independent TV Station will be based in the centre of the city and will broadcast over the surrounding areas drawing on local talent, news and events. The station will be available to view on Roku TV, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, the MKCTV Website, the Internet, Laptops, Phones, Tablets, Social Media sites and on Television. MKC TV’s experienced production team will be responsible for providing content from around the local area giving the station a broad based viewing experience on local , as well as national issues. Simon went on to say ‘our programmes will cover a wide range of interesting subjects covering local people and the talent we have in our area. We will include topical debate programmes, a range of topical podcasts, films, a morning breakfast show and other subjects that appeal to a wide range of ages groups and cultures. Further announcements will be made over the coming weeks and a full broadcasting schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Simon closed by adding ‘we are keen to work with local communities, companies of all sizes, production companies, magazines, radio and the local press to deliver a TV station for Milton Keynes that everyone will be proud of. He concluded by adding ‘After all – not only is it needed; but the city and its people deserve it’..
